Open Position: IT Support Specialist/Internship – Part-Time

The IT Support Specialist supports Windows Desktop/Server technologies and handles Tier 1 support for IT Help Desk customer support. Successful candidates will have experience with current Windows desktop and server technologies, Cloud Environments and provide fast and friendly customer support. The role is ideal for fast-paced, detailed driven, eager to learn individual. An IT professional with a focus on great customer service to our clients it the primary objective.  Success in this position requires technical knowledge with Windows systems & strong customer service focus.

What you’ll be doing:

• Support Microsoft Windows Desktop (10) & Server technologies (Server 2012/2016/2019) operating systems and Cloud platforms.
• Understanding of support for Office 365 environments a must.
• Monitor performance & Security of Windows Desktop Environments.
• Monitor customer environments and resolve issues such as internet bandwidth problems, ISP issues and firewall / router changes.
• Provide Tier 1 desktop and application support, including new user setups, line of business application support, and new desktop deployment.
• Produce, maintains and update technical documentation.
• IT PSA Platform Experience Preferred.
• IT Automation Experience Preferred.

You are a great candidate if you have…..

• Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, Engineering or business related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years supporting current windows server and desktop technologies, and client/server applications in a windows-based network environment.

Specifics include:

• Excellent Business Focused customer service skills
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems (7/10)
• Microsoft Windows Server (Server 2012/2016/2019) and Exchange Environment
• Flexibility to accommodate after-hours and weekend client and team member needs
• Experience with LAN and WAN technology and firewalls
• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCSA or MCSE) a plus
• Mac OS Experience a plus

Additional Information:

• Valid driver’s license and insurance with reliable transportation.  This position will require  frequent travel (locally Central Florida) w/ Mileage Reimbursement
